Nobody has time to listen to your complex yet long-lasting pitch. Short but focused is a great pitch design property.

What works for me: The Pitch Canvas is an entrepreneurial tool that helps you structure and visualizes your pitch on one page.

Vision: Big, bold, declarative statement. One sentence explanation of this idea will do for people.

Landscape: Highlight competition, market dynamics, existing revenue flows, existing product options, and insights on these items.

Current Pain: What problem are you solving for you customers? What does the pain result in? What is the current frustration / what’s not working. What problem are you solving?

Massive Market: How many people need this problem solved? List data, stats or existing proof points.

Your idea: As simple as possible, what does your idea do for people? How does it work? If possible, let visuals, references or demo dominate this section. Have you validated that people are willing to use or pay for it?

Why now: List why this is the time for your idea to succeed. What macro-trends, new enabling technologies give you a chance to a succeed.

Traction: Success so far? Use data and facts to strengthen your case.

Business model: How will this make money? What is the opportunity for growth?

Customer Acquisition: List approaches / tactics you’re going to use to get customers. Initial set plus over time.

The Ask: What is the first next step? What do you need? Clear request to take action.
